How to hide finish lines in wall joined with floor

Good evening everyone! This is a recurring problem for me, why are these lines visible in floor plan even when wall and floor are joined and have the same material? In a section thei appear correct as a countinuous material, but in plans they appear as separate thing. How do I solve this?

Walls connected with floor in section, same material on sides of wall and top of floor

Same walls and floor on plan view.

Why do these separation lines appear and how to hide them?

Somehow I am unable to relate between the two images you posted and that make is not clear to me what you are trying to model and what the issue is exactl beside you seeing some lines through another element.

  • Did you check is the plan view Visual Style is in Wireframe?
  • Did you try to join geometry if you have modeled the wall from several elements rather than using the built in layers?

The model is simply to make an example, but it represents two simple walls with, lets say, plaster finishes on both sides, and a floor with the same plaster finish on top, and as both are already joindes, in section the "plasters" become one as in the image attached. However in the floor plan view (top view) the lines separating the plaster from the wall from the plaster on the floor are visible. The floor was created using the finish line of the wall as reference via "select wall" tool in the floor drawing.

Not, the view is not in wireframe. No, have not tryed using diferent elements because of efficiency.

Since it’s a sample file and nothing confidential, kindly post it for a better understanding of the problem you are facing
