How to hide different elevation and sections tags on plan

I found answers to this question in other places but with 0 detailed explanation. I have elevation and sections tags on my plans that I don't want to see such as window type elevations. I made a new type for the windows but when I go to filter this type in vg, view types is not an option. What am I missing?

Elevation and section symbols can be hidden with a view filter that applies to elevations and sections and that filters by "Family and Type" contains "Something" , where "Something" is a word that exists in name of the type of the elevation or section types that you want to filter, which doesn't exist in other types. Then you apply this view filter to your views, and turn it off.

I've tried everything in filters to turn off the elevation tags for "LS" sheet numbered drawings. The best I can do is get the triangle part to disappear but the tag still remains. What am I doing wrong?image.png

To hide the elevation tags with a filter you have to create a filter based on Type properties, not View or Sheet properties.

Thanks for this, got to say bit of a pain having to still use the same work around 4 years later.

You'd think there would be a better way of controlling the visibility of sub-ordinate views than having to tag them with a different annotation family!

Is this not available in Revit LT?
