How to generate Sheet 1 of 10 on Titleblocks

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to add a "Sheet 1 of 10" to my titleblock page numbers. Has anyone used this and how did you generate it? Right now I have to manually enter the Sheet count for each page.

You can't. It must be done manually using a label in the title block with a shared parameter. Maybe create a pdf and using header/footer tool in a pdf software to add the page count.

The quantity of sheets number can be added with a simple schedule added to the sheet.  The position in the list number is a bit more difficult.  There is an add-in for this, if you search. I do not know the name off the top of my head.

Thanks for the suggestion! Where can I find the add-ins?

I wrote the blog a while ago but it's still relevant to this question. You can use a tool, like BIMLink, or you can manually do the work. Hope this helps.

KiwiCodes has a Sheet Counter add-in too. The tricky part is how do you decide which sheet is which number out of the overall number. Might be easy when the project sheets are first created but as sheets get added and issued and revisions begin that sequential relationship changes. Eventually you may end up manually defining it...like we'd be doing in other software ultimately.

As mentioned, I added it in Acrobat but any other PDF software can do the same thing.  It is dead easy and it is the only way because I receive Sheets from multiple sources, combine them into one file, then add the page numbers.
