Curtain Wall Corner Mullions

Does anyone have a functional 45degree Corner Mullion family, for joining 90 degree walls.  I can edit it.  So don't worry about the exactness of it.  I am making a Kawneer 1600 corner.

Thank You

Nardo

Download it through the Manufacturer's link to BIMObject.

...here's one: http://bimobject.com/en-us/kawneerna/product/21014

I see normal components there on the "BIM Objects" site, but I don't see a corner mullion.  Please check the image below.  If you have a link to such a file, that would be great.

You need to drill down into the Project Browser. They are both listed there.

Kawneer-1600_LR_7-14 Mullion_V-Corner and Kawneer-1600_LR_7-14 Mullion_L-Corner

If you want it modeled more accurately, then you will need to build the family yourself. You can pull Architectural Details from the Kawneer website to guide you, but keep in mind, this is what they mean by "over-modeling". My advice: save that LOD for Details.

I'm building the Curtain Wall Model for the Manufacturer.  So further detail is required.

I've seen such mullions in live models before.  But I wasn't at the helm.  So I couldn't check and see if it was a modeled in place element.  That's what I normally do.  I'm trying to expand my library of functional stuff that works like it should.  These corners are popular.  I'd like to have one that I can just edit to the specifications of my detailers for each project.  The ones I have modeled from scratch always have some issue.

Thanks.

Just wondering if you found a good way to make that corner mullion?

Do you have this file available in 2018 version?

How do you get the horizontal mullions to cut properly? I had already created my own corner mullion, but neither horizontal, to the right or left, cuts properly.

Thanks~ Works great on the border horizontals (top / bottom) but not on the intermediate horizontals.

Works fine on any horizontal mullions.  You need to play with toggle mullion join a few times.

Ah ok, yes. I was using the "toggle mullion join" control on the mullion segment. When I select both segments and use the Make Continuous command, they join properly.

Great~ Thank you! I have a much simpler curtain wall system now.
