How to create these voids

I'd like to know how do you think that I should create thes voids for windows and doors, as you can se there is different deeps inside the wall.

Have a look on how it is build in real life and try to more or less replicate that if possible.

Thanks for your reply, but the problem is not about how is created in real life, is how to create it in revit, how do you do it to creat he void behind the window and the door? how do you creathe those voids and those shapes?

How it is build in real life is normally a good indication the approach you should try in Revit.

Further I gave you a possibility how to do it in Revit

You can't combine window opening cut with voids in the window/door family, however it is possible to combine face based void with window opening cut. Depending on what you want to do with it, you could do it using that or use voids only without an opening cut. Other then that you can play around with the wall closure property and type wrapping settings.

so somthing like this.... (see attached image and video)

• draw the exterior wall (24" thick?)
• in an elevation view, edit the profile to make the alcove opening
• place a 6" wall in the gap
• place a window in the 6"wall.

as @L.Maas suggested, that is how the wall was probably constructed also.....

Good example by @constantin.stroescu right there, but what I was sort of refering to with my previous reply was the effects of using voids with "realistic view" versus using the opening cut transparency setting to control transparency in elevations. Depending on which version you are working with, voids will either show transparent or not. So, do mind that when using voids only...
