Hi,
I have to import an IFC file from Tekla. This file was exported from the a 0 absolute (200 km away).
My shared coordinates are at the same point.
I always thought that Revit imported IFC files from the file export point to the internal revit point.
However when I import this file it is not positioned correctly but it is not positioned at 200 km as I expected. It is positioned rotated and with a offset of a few meters.
This makes me rethink that Revit doesn't work the way I thought it would.
Is Revit capable of placing the IFC close to the project geometry if it detects that the IFC is located several kilometres away?
Is Revit able to detect the program it comes from and change the way the IFC is imported?
Does anybody know how does it work?
Thank you.
