How to create that pattern in revit ?

Hi !

How to create that pattern in revit ? 

I tried from materials but has nothing like that in templates , tried with linestyles but how do I create 1 dashed and one whole line pattern ?

Download pyRevit and create tge pattern using its Pattern maker tool in Revit.

It creates patterns but only fill patterns , when trying to apply pat file to cut plan it says no drafting patterns found  

does that tool pyrevit creates only fill patterns ?

Got AutoCAD? Looks like AutoCAD's  "Brass" hatch. If so, you could open the acad.pat file with Note Pad, copy the "Brass" hatch definition in it to a separate Note Pad file and save it as a .pat file.  You could then use it to create a custom hatch in Revit.

No I don't use Autocad. Can't believe that hatch is so irresponsibly complicated.

Just wonder what features devs are thinking for revit 2022 while creating

new hatch needs autocad and third party plugins.

Why don't you just ask for it?

Download the attached RVT and use Transfer Project Standards to transfer the pattern to your Project.

Hope one of those solutions will work , it treats some patterns as only fill patterns and denies to be used in cut plans.. will check it tomorow.

As for why im not just asking for pat file directly , because im more incline towards solving a problem in general, rather than asking for one pat file each time when different custom one needed.

I think what you are talking about is Model Patterns and Drafting Patterns. Two different animals.  You ought read up on them. It's important to understand the distinctions between the two.

I understand they are 2 different ones , one is treated in model units scale , second is treated as for paper scale, overaly It doesnt matter , pattern is pattern its main goal is to array and  repeate lines.

Let it be drafting pattern.. Me understanding and reading manuals about those 2  patterns doesnt help the fact that revit has to go for autocad or plugins to create simple hatches, i dont even know above solutions will work for plans or no, will see tomorow.

You can write your own hatch pattern definitions as well, using any text editor, such as Note Pad.  

Here's one (units are in inches): 

*My Hatch Pattern
0, 0,0, 0,.25
0, 0,.125, 0,.25, .125,-.0625

Copy it to a Note Pad file, save it as a .pat file and use it to create a custom Revit DRAFTING Hatch Pattern.  Know how? If so, test it.  You'll see.  

Here's one tutorial I found for you on-line that describes the fundamentals of how to write your own Hatch Patterns. There are others. Just Google search for them.
