Can you please suggest how we can check the Mirrored component through Autodesk Revit Model Review add-ins in Revit interface. If possible please share us any sample file where we can check the same with the Default BCF [FirmStandards-Extended.bcf].

Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards

Hello Viveka CD,

Thanks for your prompt reply. We have reviewed this but we need a sample file where we can check this rules.

How we can create the mirrored components in Revit. Can we use mirror tool to place any object in Revit?.

Please suggest and if you have any sample file or create any video for us it will really help us a lot.

Thanks & Regards

Hi @BIMAbhi

You will have to install Revit model review

Please see step by step process for Revit Model Review Instructions then you can create a new check for standards - mirrored components.

After you install Model review, you can find 'check' and 'manage' in the Revit add-ins tab.

Model checks are typically required to be run at every project milestone.New or existing check files (*.bcf files) are added to this panel. The order of check files saved within this interface will also be shown in the predefined lists for the Check and Manage to drop down lists. These configurations are saved in the Model Review.config file located in the installation folder (for use with multiple users).

Hope that helps!

Hello,

I am new to using the model review tool and I still can't make it run mirrored object checks for me as desired.

1- there is this limitation with user control access whereby I can't really use it until I launch revit as Administartor

2- I can't find where the BCF files, it defaults to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Model Review 2017

but the Check tool still checks files from somewhere I can't find

with these limitations, I am not able to test the tool properly, plus I can't seem to find enough resources to use it, is there a way I can be in touch with someone from Autodesk about resolving these issues?

Many Thnaks

So I managed to find where the BCF files are saved and also ran the mirror check properly, it just does not fix the found object (there are thousands)
the thing is if these mirrored objects were mirrored back would they return to their previous state or is it one broken then always broken? this is the major one
