Horizontal Blend

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a clever way in Revit to do a horizontal blend?

I have experimented with piecing together 9 individual blends that i rotate 10 degrees (see attached) but that is clumsy and doesn't have the desired effect.

Currently blends are from base to top and will not rotate in the project. I want the blend to go from vertical to horizontal, so from left to right.

TIA!

YES! 🙂

How did you do it? As a mass?

As a generic adaptive family.  Draw the same profile on different reference planes and rotate them gradually.  then select all and create form.

You can do the same with a mass.

Thanks @ToanDN , you the man! 🙂

Do you mind doing a screen cast of how you did it please? And did you just use a normal Generic model template or a line based one?

Cheers!

See screencast.

It was a quickie so I did not parametrize the family.    You can give parameters to flex the form if you want to:

- distance between reference planes

- dimensions and shape of the profile.  you can even create a work plane based generic model family and draw the profile with parameters, then load it in and host and rotate it on the reference planes.

Thanks @ToanDN , it is exacly what I needed. Although I might have to do it in Mass since I don't have the Adaptive generic model option in my template library.

This is kind of off topic, but is there a way to download all the different curtain wall panel templates that you had in your screencast? I only have Empty, glazed and solid. No adaptive, ceiling, floor based etc.

The family templates come with Revit installation.  Do you use Revit or Revit LT?
