Hide Grids in Elevation based on their 3d extent

I have column grids that doesn't continue through whole building  I am trying to automatically hide the ones that are not present in elevations. Is there a way to do it?

It seems that changing 3d extend of grids doesn't effect their visibility in elevation so a grid which is only for one column on east elevation will be visible on west elevation. I have tried Scope box and it's the same.

Is there a way to do this Except manually hiding them one by one?

Thanks,

Check the depth of the far clipping plane in the elevation--try pulling it back to a small distance, like 2'

Have tried that. Model elements will be hidden but not Grids.

Thanks.

I was loosing my mind.Seeing this I tried different things.

Right clicking on grid and selecting 'Reset to Crop' worked and hid them which is a bit weird.

I had somewhat the same problem, grids which were behind or far in front of the elevation view and its far clip offset kept showing in my elevation views, but not all the grids.

I used duplicated elevation views and after that moved them to the disered position, keeping also the 2d elements etc. I had the grids in 2d mode. The combination of the duplicate and 2d grids probably meant that the elevation view "reminded" that certain grids were visible in 2d.

After "Reset to Crop" the ones that were not visible in 3d in that particular crop region with its far clip settings turned off / disappeared.

Thanx for your hint!!
