Hello, 

there is another method to hide the dwg file on plan beyond to use hide or isolate command down the screen?

Go to Manage>>Manage Links.

 

Under the Imported Objects tab you can unload the dwg

CLICK VG it´s a shortcut to open grafic visibility , the box will open , click the tab imported categories , it will open the list of imported DWG for the plan , you can select or unselect it , also can click over + and unselec only what you dont need to see to , you will have a cleaner picture of dwg drawing

I have noticed too that the "unload" function does not always work. I've had several instances where I unloaded the CAD drawing but it would still show up in my views.
