Hide Component in 3D View

Hello,

I have got a question about posibility to hide component in 3D View, but it has to be seen in elevation view.

Question:

Is this possible to do that ELEMENT 1 is going to be seen only in elevation plan (not in 3D, Top View etc.)?

Element 2 has view mode to be seen only in 3D View. The thing is Element 1 need to be seen only in elevention plan with materials which I want to set up.

Door_problem.pngThanks for the solution in advance.

If Element 1 is a 3D element, you can't hide it from 3D views. However, you can link it's visibility to the view detail level (coarse, medium, fine) to hide it in specific cases.

Draw the 2d linework using symbolic line or detail components in the family.

I think the model elements need to be assigned to Subcategories so you can control Visibility per Project View.

But I've need posibilty to change material of this element, I've want to show in 3D View opened door with for example Door Material = red, trim material = blue, Window=glass. And closed door on elevation plans with same material types. While I've draw it in lines I cant do that.
