hidden lines in a revit family are overridden when content is phased to existing

I have casework families in which I overlay  hidden line work in the family to display several things. In plan I draft hidden lines over the model to show overhead cabinets. In elevations I draft line work to display door swing. This works great when the content is assigned to new construction. However, when I phase a model and bring the family in and assign to an existing phase the line work no longer appears hidden, actually when you hover over the content you can see the hidden line but it will not display when you move the mouse off the object. I cannot change the graphic overrides in the phases because then everything assigned to the existing phase will be hidden. I just want the lines I have on hidden to remain so when assigned to the existing phase. Is there a parameter or additional graphic override that can be added for the hidden lines to remain?

Edit you Phase Graphic Overrides and Change Existing Projection/Cut Lines to No Override, only Half-toned.

That was awesome. Your solution cleans up everything with a simple halftone and no overrides.

Thx
