Greetings!

Where can I find option to hide Revit link file object from other views (i want it to be only in one view)?

For CAD files there are option "Current Views Only" but for Link Revit files?

You can:

  1. Either use Worksets
  2. OR use Visibility Graphics and view templates to switch them off in each view

Option1: Worksets

  1. From the Colaborate tab >> Woksets >> Create a Workset name it "Linked Revit Models"
  2. Make sure the option "Visibile in All views" is UNCHECKED
  3. Select the link and on the properties palette select the Workset "Linked Revit Models"
  4. Go to the view where you want the link visible
    • Type VG or VV for visibility Graphics
    • GO to Worksets tab
    • Make the Revit Linked Model Visioble

Option 2:

  1. Simply go to Visibility Graphics >>
    • Under Revit Links >> and uncheck the ones you do not need visible
  2. Create a view template from that view
  3. Apply this view template to the views where you want the link hidden

Thanks for fast reply,

a bit confused,

I don't get, Solution 2:

3. "Link will bot show in views with the above template applied" (What does it mean?)

May be there is somewhere option with all sheets in which i can turn off certain views?

Otherwise I need to go through every view ("VG" settings) to turn off Revit link fail?

No... you do that only on one view >>> then add that setting to the relevant view template...if you do not have a view template to start with, from the ribbon go view >> view templates and create a view template from view.

Every view where you do not want that link to show, you can apply the view template

I think I'm missing something, it's not changing for me anything.

Could be there this type of solution?

1. Make New "View Template"

*Apply New "View template" to Floor Plan

2. Add Revit Link File

And it's only applies to that "View Template"?

Not an expert, I might be totally wrong...

@cadedu22

You need to go to VG first and uncheck the revit link then create the view template

Check/Open the GIF added to Message #2 above... it shows how to create and apply the view template
