I'm curious as to how the Autodesk ID's tie into licenses and how I seem to be able to change my username to something generic and still be able to use it??
Our office only has about 10-12 Autodesk ID's for everybody in the office. so sometimes we play musical chairs with the IDs. However whether I use one of the Autodesk ID's, or whether I sign out and change it to something generic (personal name, position etc.) Revit will still allow me to sync and use it as normal.
I'm wondering if that's the case, how come everybody doesn't just use their own generic name and never have to worry about switching around the Autodesk ID's?
I'm thinking it has to do with our licensing package, but I'm not sure which is why I'm wondering what the point of the Autodesk ID's are if I can just use Revit as normal with something generic.
