Help to join a flat wood truss roof with a sloped wood truss roof

I'm trying to join a flat wood truss roof with a sloped roof slab (1/2 butterfly) but the two roofs are not joining well. (see image).  I've tried to fill in the birdsmouth'd shape piece that is missing but haven't been successful either.
