Help in adding materials

So I have my model with the toposurface. I managed to locate the grass texture in my library. But whenever I try to apply the selected grass to my model/project. It just turns the selected area Grey or just brown. What should I do?

You have to check the Visual Style and set it by Consistent Colors or Realistic to see the color you have asigned to the material.

THe settings in Appearance tabl of yor materia only shows up in realistic sertting of your view.

Settings on the Graphics tab determine the material look in Shaded or Consistent Colors views
