HELP. An unrecoverable internal error in Green Building Studio analysis

Hello,

I’m a student and I enrolled in Autodesk Building Performance Analysis Certificate course. I’ve completed first lessons but now I need to do some actual analysis to complete tests. So I download given Revit model, run Revit 2016 that I have, do all the energy settings according to the given instructions, enable energy model, click to perform analysis and it fails. It fails every time. The error every time is the same: ‘Issue: An unrecoverable internal error has occurred’.

The guys at customer support helped me to re-activate my student account (I already had one but they suggested to re-activate with new license keys they’ve provided) however that did not resolve my Green Building Studio problems and the error remain.

I’m attaching the file from the BPA course and screenshots of the error. Tried other files from other lessons from the course but the result and error is the same.

Please help

Hi,

If they are saying it is an activation issue , then you can check your activation status on their website  (www.autodesk.com/greenbuildingstudio) after login  and then talk to them accordingly.

Thank You

Hello saluja.nitesh07,

I checked the link you provided and it seems everything is in order in that regard (I'm attaching the screenshot). Customer support suggested to contact Autodesk community forums if the problem remains (and it does).

Since my last post I tried to create new models by my own and to do the analysis, but I get the same error.

Hi,

Try again to run simulation by increasing the value of space and surface resolution by 20-30 times. In the error message this thing is also mentioned try to increase this value in energy settings tab.

So I tried increasing the value of space and surface as you suggested but not by 20-30 times. The default values are 609.6 mm and the values that I can enter are between 76.2 mm and 3048 mm (the numbers are weird because I changed the measurements from imperial to metric system). In any case I still get the same error.

By this point I'm considering deleting Revit and reinstalling it to my system. Maybe something messed up there and I'm not aware.
