How to export to dwg with image binding

Hi,

How do I export to dwg with images binded into one file rather than separate files?

Thanks

There is no setting to bind images during export. They are exported as linked files.

A solution would be to correct this in Autocad

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Hi Enlint,

So I have to double Etransmit?....I checked AutoCad Etransmit setting with bind but I get a folder with all reference files.

You can't even bind raster images in AutoCAD except for using OLE, which is
the entire different mechanism. I don't see how Revit can do it.

What's wrong with external image files?

How about creating a family in Revit, insert all the logos as OLE in that family, load that family in your project, and then export to Autocad ? Would that be exported as a Autocad block with embedded images ? I know it doesn't work in Titleblock families, but still, perhaps it could work in other types of families.

Is there any tehnical option to create that logos as region masks, i mean like having the logo image mapped as single tile or something?

Revit have no idea what an OLE is.

I need to be able to do this for creating Record Drawings. I need to supply CAD to the client, and any external images must be binded in the CAD drawing.  I have several details that use existing building drawings as images to scale in Revit. It will take too much time to find the images, copy+paste them from paint to turn them into OLEs and scale them. Does anyone have a better solution for this?
