Group Editing Error

Anonymous
Not applicable

On a number of occasions I get stuck inside group editing mode and there is a audio cue that keeps pinging as if there is an open pop up window. This happens most of the time when I'm editing walls inside group editor. When I move walls and close group editor there is usually the pop up window that says walls overlap. But in some cases that window only shows up for a spit second and disappears and then I'm stuck and not able to move anything.

Add a keyboard shortcut for Finish Group command and use it when stuck.

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry to hear that. To understand more clearly the issue, could please create a screencast and send the link here so I can take a look at what is happening? For more information about screencast, check out this link: Autodesk Screencast. You can also share some screenshot.

Well I can't really make it happen at will. It happens randomly and it's really annoying cause my the only solution is to force stop revit from task manager. Is there a way to reveal hidden pop up windows?

I will. Also is there a way to add a keyboard shortcut to closing those pop up windows?

Hi @Anonymous,

If you are talking about the keyboard shortcut of closing the editing of group, type FG. Share screenshot of this pop up windows you are talking about.

Thanks.

Hello @Anonymous,

Are you looking for the pop up window for warnings?

To see all the errors and warning Go to Manage>Inquiry>Warnings (see image)

Nope, it's just in some instances when I close a group that pop up shows up for a split second and disappears, so from there I can't click OK to continue.
