grids made on GF show on FF, grids made on FF do not show on GF

Hi, can anyone explain what's happening here? There is nothing I can see to change in the properties or edit type boxes. Should the grids have top and bottom constraints?

Because they do not extend to the other level. Select one grid, right click, select all, right click, maximize 3d extent.

I don't understand. You can resize their extents so that they are visible in some views, but not others.

I thought grids show on all levels, but they don't!

The elevation views revealed all.
