Grid Visibility Control

I have a project with many column grid lines. All grids do not need to appear in every view, and different views may have different grid configurations, i.e., on or off, and I've been manually adjusting these in every view so far. Is there a better way? View templates don't seem to do it.

How about Rule-Based View Filters assigned to Grid Category?  Maybe filter by Grid Type Names.

...use Filters in View Templates.

I'll look into that, but I don't think it's applicable here. Thank you anyhow.

If there are rules where certain grids should be showing or hiding and the rules can be repeated for several views then filters should work and are recommended.

If it is related to extent of grids and area applicable then you can change 3d extent so certain grids do not run into the area.  If it related to phasing, such as hiding grids of demolished columns in new view, or hiding grids of new columns in existing views, then you can use different grid types and filter them.

I have a project with primary and secondary grids, using filters does the job. If you dont want to use filters you can place them into a different workset?
