Grid bubble changes to its original side/position in other floor plans

Hi,

Is there any way that my grid bubbles keep the same side in all floor plans, instead of having to manually change the side on each one?

When I first place them, I selected with pick lines my guide lines and  put the bubbles in the location I wanted by using the hide/show checkbox but in the other floor/structural/etc. plans they just appear in their original position.

Thank you so much in advance for replying.

Those changes are view specific so there isn't a way to apply them to all views. You can assign which side the bubble is on in the type properties but that gets applied to all the grids.

Hi,

You can use the Propagate Extents function in Revit to "copy" the appearance:

- Select grids from the view where all your Bubbles are in the right position > Click on Propagate Extents in the Modify panel > choose Plan Views to copy.

Isn't that only for the 3D extents?

Also be aware that Grid lines have a start point and an end point. This is why they Bubbles are always showing up on the wrong side within your project. If you are early on in the project, you can select a Grid Line and use the Rotate tool to rotate the Grid Line by 180 degrees which will put the default end with the bubble on the opposite side.

Warning though....if you are not early on in  a project, then this would not be suggested because your team has most likely already used the 'check box' to enable / disable the Bubbles on your views and you'd end up reversing them for your entire project.
