Graphic overrides / phase filters of linked models

Hello all

i have been tasked to create a set of colored overlays for a remodeling project. My workflow - create a blank project, link the shell and fit out models, and then apply graphic overrides for New and Demolished. The Demolished override works perfectly. New does not. Any ideas at art? I really don’t want to copy and paste elements from the files.

regards

Rina

Check Phase mapping of the links and make sure they match the host's.

Already checked. Phase filters have identical names. Demolished and Existing are perfectly overridden. New is not.

Without digging in to deep, you can create views in the linked models as you like and set the links the host model views to Display by Linked view.

@ToanDN @I can’t create views in the linked models - the client wants to see Demo in red and New in green. I can’t do that in the linked file without messing up a whole bunch of things

Is it just my imagination or we can’t edit Show All?

No you cannot edit Show All and it is a good thing.
Anyhow, can you show the Phase Mapping of one of the links?

@hmunsell I’m having a feeling it’s something to do with my file. Did this work on a linked model?
Workaround - I linked the shell into the cutout ( the fit out has more info in it) and applied the filters. Walls from the shell still didn’t show up as green, but most of the info is correct.

Did you set your phase filter to Show Complete? I look at your phase filter setup. Show complete set as override for new, existing and demo. Normally I wouldn't change the default setting and instead create a separate name. Reason is if you use link by view, it will set to the link phase filter. This means you have to go into the link and check to see if the phase filter is the same as your current model.
