We are having issues with “ghosting” walls duplicating in the existing drawings because walls that were created in the existing phase, and then demoed in existing phase. How do we find these ghosted walls?

Thanks

@Anonymous Hello

I do not believe this is an odd or abnormal situation.

IF YOU USE ANY PHASE FILTER; you need to consider that Temporary and Demolished will not show on a view set to 2 Phases later (Therefore you are calling the ghosts):

OPTION 1:

SET THE FILTER in properties palette to NONE.

What @PijPiwo suggested is 100% correct. If or when you start using any filter it has to be set simultaniously with the correct PHASE. If you are not sure about the Phase they were demolished in the set the view filter to NONE ans you can see all the walls as if no phasing existed

Option 2:

  1. First you need to set the view to the phase during which those walls were demolished
  2. THEN apply the Filter to show Existing + Demo + temp (set to overriden in phase filter)

Option 3:

Set the Phase to the one before walls were demolished

Same apply to wall schedules...They are Phase related, hence to see the walls you are looking for (the ghosts)...

  • With NO Filters applied (All show regardless of phase set) Everything will show as if no phasing is applied so Demolished will display like any other wall

  • With Filters applied and Wrong Phase Set (even with show ALL as someone suggested) Demolished and Temp will not show

  •  With Filters applied and CORRECT Phase Set...Demolished and Temp will show

Is it possible that the walls in question were hidden by any chance? Have you tried Reveal Hidden Elements? However, if they were hidden, they still should show in the schedule.  Just a thought.

Thanks for all of the input! I had a dead line yesterday and finally got around to solving the problem, the wall schedule solution worked great!

Thanks!
