Getting errors that make zero sense when making family...

Trying to make a window trim family. Literally the simplest thing I could possibly make but of course Revit has to make it as complicated as possible. You'll see in the image that I have an extrusion representing the piece of trim with model text indicating the size. I need to be able to change the length and width hence the "Trim Length" and "Trim Width" parameters. I also need the text to stay centered vertically and horizontally when the trim size is changed. Everything works if I delete the "EQ" dimlines circled in blue but I need these to keep the text centered. When I add the circled dims and try to change the "Trim Length", it completely breaks the model for some reason. I have no idea why its causing a conflict.

What's the error message, overconstrained error? The message often gives a hint which element(s) are causing it.

Deleting the EQ dimensions solves the over constrained message, but often another element needs editing to allow the EQ dimension.

Can you share the family?

This is happening (probably) because you are using the center reference plane as an "edge" to the EQ. From what I can see, you need it to act as a "corner Reference Plane", while the text moves. To do so, create a second parameter, with formula: "Trim Width / 2". Keep "Trim Width" where it is, and the new one to connect it to the "Text Alignment Reference Plane". Should work.
