Get Information of selected element

Hello everyone, this might be a silly question but, is there a way to quickly get information from a selected element?

For example, if I select a wall I would like to see the length, height, square feet of a face, volume, angle, etc.

Is there a way to get this info from elements quickly, if not what workaround you have for that.

Thanks!

You mean the element's properties?

All that information, with the exception of "Angle" is displayed for the selected element under it's Instance Properties. Angle would be relational data.

How about properties or tags?

I mean the type of properties and information that I mentioned above.

For example with the wall when I select it I can see the length, area and volume, but can't see the angle, or anything else.

I would like a more detailed list of info or properties quickly. I'm just asking if there is a way to do that?

Some stuff you still have to use the dimension tools mate...  This isn't Star Trek quite yet.

This picture attached is not from Revit, but I mean something like this, all this information is only from one wall selected and using the option to show information. I don't need it as detailed but something like this is what I mean for elements.

I'm giving the example with a wall but I want to know if there is a way to get this information for any type of element.

As with a lot of things in Revit, there is probably a way, but it might require some front-end work to get it and it might be a lot of work.

Some things that seem intuitive to us are not so easy in programming. Like how is Revit supposed to know what you want to measure the angle from? A grid line, the project coordinate system, an adjacent wall?

Quite a lot of information shown for one wall in your screenshot.  I've never seen anything like this. It's almost scientific.  Where did you get this information from?

So if the information is coming from a Non-Revit source....I would be asking the support forum for that non-revit source...as the information is more than what is in a normal Revit schedule.... Although I'll bet the information can be gathered with Dynamo.

Ok, Thanks community for your help. I just wanted to know if there were a way to get enough information from an element like the one in the list and I didn't knew.

The list is from another software that has that option. It will be nice though to have something like this in Revit. I'll keep my methods to get info.

About the angle I will say that the angle should be by default with the Axis X. A wall drawn horizontally from left to right will be 0 degrees and the opposite way 180 degrees. Just like Autocad shows the angle of lines in the properties.

Knowing that there is no such an easy option in Revit I might work on a solution with Dynamo, it might be interesting.
