Generic Models in Arch Model - Wrong Offset Level

I have an issue with generic model offset heights in an architecture file (first time we've encountered it after many uses of this tool). Let me explain the process to give a full understanding.

We produce coordinated M&E drawings. The M&E side stays as the main central file, with the architecture/structure/FFE all linked in. For builderswork we use a tool that physically cuts the holes into the walls/slabs within an arch model, we then see these holes when we reload the arch model in the central model. This allows us to tag them. The issue I'm having now, is that the holes are reading a completely incorrect offset level. Is there something in the architects model gone amiss?

So your adding the cuts within the arch model and the tagging them within your MEP model.  Its possibly a level issue within the arch model. I'm assuming your generic wall/floor cuts are level based? its maybe something as simple as they've been associated with another level with the arch model if there are two levels close to one another?

Yes that's correct, they are cut in the architects model so that when using Navis, they appear as a clear cut hole. If you place them in the MEP model, it doesn't have the same affect.

Holes are level based - if you look just below the circled level in image 3, it shows the associated level. I did think something similar along these lines, whereby it was reading the wrong level - but I've checked them, they are all associated correctly. Weirdly, in a previous revision of the arch model, the holes worked perfectly. The arch model has since been updated, and it is now that we are having this issue. I'm beginning to wonder if it's anything to do with the base points

Yeah quite possibly, it could be a base point issue are you heights done based on shared or project elevation?

I'm just awaiting a response from the software creator. I know of another company who uses this tool, and they have had the same issue.

Within the architects model, they cut a section, clicked a level arrow head, and changed project base point to survey point. That sorted the issue for them, it reverted the offset elevations to the correct heights. I've just tried it and it hasn't worked

Did you cut the holes in 3d views or section/elevation views?

It's an automated tool that works to set parameters set by us (ie what distance opening we want around pipes/ducts etc), and only works when in the plan view of your selected floor . This is the 9th project we've used the tool on, and this is the first issue of this kind we have encountered - I've sinced tried it in the previous revision arch model and it works fine. Latest model, it's no good. I'm stumped

I think its something to do with the shared co-ordinates. The elevation in particular. This has possibly changed inside the arch model. when inside the arch model check the whether the levels are set to project or survey. I would compare the ground floor survey level in the current and previous versions of the arch model. my assumption is that they have changed.
