Generic Model issues

Hi,

my first post here, Ive been beating my head against the wall on this, reading for hours but to no avail.

I have a headwall, modeled in a generic model family there are 3 parts left, center, and right. each are thier own families and then nested into the head wall family.

I have sucessfully joined the three parts together in the family, but when i place into a project they join where they join.

If you have any suggestions please let me know, i will try anything at this point.

I need this problem fixed at the family level, not in the project.

thanks

Joe

If the families join properly in the family editor, using Join Geometry, they should remain joined when the host family is loaded into a project.
In general, if 2 or more families are of the same categories and same material, they should join properly.

I have done exactly that but it still happens in the Project.

I dont know why it would show joined and no seam in family editor and then in a project change?
