generic adaptive family

i am trying to create a mullion moving continuously in two planes with keeping the profile vertical... using generic adaptive family ... however when i flex it it shows unable to create form.

Looks like the form is failing because it is self intersecting.

1. If you host the profile to the to the reference plane that is perp to the reference line

2. Then change the adaptive point to be Global Z

This should get you what you need.

3. Although I do not know what you will be hosting this too so I assumed a wall?

4. Also Since every point (all 3) are adaptive points and I am assuming you will host all 3 eventually..... It does not matter where you model them in the generic adaptive family because the final point location will depend on where you host all 3 points. I would recommend you consider keep them in a line for ease of modeling.
