floor Structural deck profile not showing up in reflected ceiling plan

1. If you have a metal roof deck, do you have to model it as a floor since structural deck is not an assembly option for roofs?

2. Is there a setting or trick to get the metal deck profile to show up in reflected ceiling plans?

Sure you can use a Floor for a Roof. It's done all the time.  It's valid.  

The Metal Deck Profile is only Visible in Section. It is Symbolic.  If you want a Metal Deck to show, you could Model it (Beam Systems, Slope Glazing, etc.) or just symbolically represent it with a Surface Pattern. Parallel lines.
