Floor highlight in floor plan view not showing

I can't see floor highlighted when selected in some views. In one view the floor shows complete blue when selected while the other only shows the boundary. However, in 3d and/or section view I can see the element highlighted when selected.

The view is wireframe, change it to hidden.

The difference between completely blue and outline is often the selection of the visual style (e.g wireframe vs shaded).
