Floor Drain symbolic lines will not print at all

I have a simple floor drain family which is being a complete pain. It has some symbolic lines and a fill region, none of which will actually print when connected to pipes. They show up fine on the view they're visible on but they never actually print. Would anyone be able to take a look at this POS and give me a remedy which will get it to print properly?

If you set it alone without piping then it prints, but connect it up properly and suddenly none of the symbolic lines or nested fill regions print.

This is what I see on the screen:

Here's what I see when printing:

Feel free to move this topic to MEP area, I thought I was placing it there in there first place.

Change your print setting to use raster instead of vector.  We had this issue in the past and would just print in raster.

Thanks for the response but this is not an acceptable answer. Printing from raster not only looks awful but the file sizes get ridiculous.

I have found a workable solution which I posted in the MEP forum (where I reposted this thread).
