Am I missing something or can you not override the graphics of an element within a legend?
For example if I have a setting in my visibility graphics or a filter that has changed the appearance of a wall, can I reflect this on the legend?

Hi
Revit won't reproduce graphic overrides for legend components. However, there's a turnaround.
If you know and understand phases, you can create 2 phases before your project's first one, and do your legends using actual components, instead of legend components. Ex:
I'll start my project. It's a refurbishment, so I'll need and Existing and a New Construction phase;
At the end of the day, I used actual model components and project views instead of legend components and legend views.
I hope it helps you.

Thanks to you both, you've given examples of workarounds that we have employed.
The issue for me is that there is a potentially very useful legend function that needs bringing up to speed.
Looks like another post on the idea station!

@Your post imples that you were missing out on something ie: not sure about it.. If you would have been sure, you wouldn't have asked if you can "reflect certin graphic overrides and filters on legends" because you you would have known that you can do that using several workarounds + the brilliant idea @Anonymous.bezzera gave you
Next time when you REALY do have a workaround please do mention it in the OP ... so that people won't waste their time...this is the third post I read with same attitude I don't think I will bother reading your next...
There is doable and not doable...The term "Workaround" is the excuse of the ungreatful...who realize that it was pretty much obvious and they missed it
@Anonymous.bezzera ... thumbs up mate thats a good one

It's a figure of speech, maybe it's a language barrier.
As it's not a solution within the legend visibility controls, then it's a workaround.
I agree though, it's best that you stay well clear of my posts.

althought you didn't give me a very convincing reply on the last question I asked you but this one I have to admit it is brilliant. I was trying to figure how to put together a phase filter legend and your reply here gave me the greatest idea...
figuratively speaking "You're an Einstein"

What's more important is that you're sharing that knowledge Rodrigo and it's already helped others on this forum.
I appreciate your response and sorry if my reply wasn't as gracious as it should have been, what you've stated are the best solutions under the current setup.

Hello all!
Another workaround is to use a Design option to do so. We uses to have a Legends phase in our template but for Revit newbies it's somehow difficult to be implemented, they use to mess things between worksets and between phases.

Hey @FrantxoMOD, thanks for jumping in. Design option is a powerful and versatile tool and I use it as well back at the office to keep some information secure, like structural columns, grids and whatever is too important to be moved around by accident. BUT, I'd neve use it as newbies countermeasures.
Best thing to do in this case is teach your team the hows, the whys and etc because no matter what to do, the reckless one is impetuous and he/she will find a way to crack the system and mess up what he/she's not supposed to. The road to hell is full of good intentions.
Best regards

I create the legend with legend components and then just draw the demolished wall indicators with lines.

I strongly advise you don't do that, because you loose all of Revit automation in the process. Every time you choose a manual process over something the software can automatically do for you, you're opening a door for a silly human error.

I always apply the same Template to Views and Legends. If I use a filling in the legend, then I edit the filter and add and comment-filter to apply the same override.
(They are not two filters anymore but one with an OR filter, before Revit 2019 that wasn't an option.)
