Filtering <Insulation Batting Lines> in detail and drafting views.

Hi,

I am wondering what category I need to set a filter for in order to set the Insulation Batting Lines to halftone in a view template. It seems like it should be simple, but since the Insulation Batting Lines have no type or family it is challenging. I am aware I can do this by editing line styles, but that wont work for me in this instance as I need the insulation to be halftoned only in certain views.

For reference I have included a screen shot of the properties for the insulation batting lines.

Please let me know if there is a solution for this without having to dig around in the API.

Thanks,

JB

They fall under Category lines and the only thing which filters apply to in that category is Path of travel if I'm not mistaken. If I may ask, assuming you would be able to create a filter, would you apply it on views one by one or would you add it into a view template?

Just thinking...if a view template is going to be applied, overriding the color for Insulation Batting in that template to light gray might be the easiest shortcut for you without having to go dig into the API or use Dynamo to apply overrides...it might not be the same as half tone but close I would say...or?
