Filter Hatches Not Printing

Hi All,

Really frustrating issue here.

I've got filters set up to hatch different Rooms with different patterns to show different floor types (already created as Area Plans so can't use colour fill legends).

These filters work perfectly on screen, but when printing to PDF or even checking 'Print Preview' they don't display.

Is there something obvious I'm missing, or is this simply another bug we have to deal with?

Any help would be great!

No - it's not typical.  Perhaps try an altenative PDF writer.  Does it print correctly to a standard printer?

It doesn't even show the hatches on print preview - so it's not the PDF writer.

The default is always on Vector - I've tried Raster and that doesn't help.

you can try to change the line spacing or try to change lineweight setting to 1 and see if helps. thanks

Is your project set to show 'Thin lines'? In which case it's not showing on screen what should print

Interestingly this was an issue. I had to change the hatch patterns to larger versions in order for them to still show when 'thin lines' was turned off. I thought that was the end of the problem, but clearly not...

Where is this 'lineweight' setting for a pattern override in the filter dialogue?

You can set the line weight in the patterns properties - draw a fill region set to the type in the filter and edit its properties.

This is a live project, so no way I can share it.

Below is a screenshot of a part of a plan on screen, and below how it displays on print preview:

This isn't being done with filled regions... This is a filter.

The filters use set fill patterns - are you saying that your filter only uses a colour, and not a pattern?

Interesting phenom. I got my money on PEBCAK since Revit is WYSIWYG.  he, he.

@jay_clancy

Can you Group and Save out of the Project just the affected portion, and then post that file here for us to test?

I see why. While you can use Filters to show hatch pattern for rooms. They will not print because Room interior fills don't print, only Room color fill do.

Is this also true of Area Interior Fills?

So interior fill patterns for rooms don't print. what is the point of something that dose not print? I am having the same problem with a solid fill pattern for room interior fill overridden to show colours. I was supposed to have these drawings done two hours ago!!
