Filled regions, transparency - maybe use something else alltogether?

Dear good helpers.

 

I use filled regions in order to group luminaires in my lighting designs so that the electrician knows how to do the cabling. When printing to pdf, the lighting fixtures are unfortunately hidden by the filled regions. 

 

I have looked around on the forums here and understand that filled regions and transparency is a challenge.

Does anyone have a better idea to how I can vizualise the grouping of lighting fixtures?

Or can I manage to make my filled regions to be transparent on the pdf?

In the model it looks good at least in wireframe.

Why not set the color to light fixture themselves in your view template?

Why not just do it the conventional way - schematically in a Electrical Plan?

If you want to get fancy, then create Rule-Based Filters to select Groups of Light Fixtures - maybe by their Switch ID.  These Filters can be added to the View's VGO and you can then override their display in the View however you like - even color them.

....what happens if the electrician is given "blue"-prints. he, he. Get it? Blueprints.  😉

Use the raster print option to get elements to show through a filled region with transparency.
