Dear Autodesk,
Can someone please help me?
I have a color fill / legend for a plan view. The live view graphics look fine. I go to print (used both Cute PDF and Adobe) and the fill is overtaking the wall boundary. It has to be a printing issue. Are there changes in 2019? I have used versions 10 - 19 (I skipped versions 15 and 18 tho because those were problematic and basically garbage releases). I have worked professionally with autodesk since 1999 (cad v. 14 - 2016)
I have tried just about everything:
Raster and Vector (doesn't impact issue, raster makes the print quality worse / pixelated)
Print Driver is compatible and working well otherwise, no other printing issues
Display Model Fine, Normal, Coarse (Coarse is what I need, doesn't impact issue)
Color Scheme Location Background (This does impact the issue, but only on my live view / screen. It is having no impact on the final PDF print)
The fill is associated with a Area Boundary. I turned 'on' the Model Category Visibility of Areas to both Color Fill and Interior Fill. If I check only Color Fill, the Boundary overlaps the wall, and negates the wall fill pattern filter. If I turn Interior Fill only on, I loose the Area Boundary fill. The legend still reads but the fill does not. If I check mark both Color and Interior Fill on I get the exact result I need (although NOT intuitive at all, and there is no "help" or "tip" on this) - The Interior fill 'crops' the color fill pattern to the interior wall boundary. I can then see my exterior wall filter pattern perfectly.
No, I can't print directly from Revit 2019 to a full size paper. We have no full size plotter. No one in a small studio does this anymore Autodesk. We need a direct export to PDF INCLUDED in our very expensive subscription (or something that works well with this software that you created and now we can't seem to work in this profession without). I prefer Cute PDF. It is the least disruptive to my fonts and other graphics. I have too many problems with Adobe creating substitutions and visual artifacts that are not there. (Adobe thinks its smarter than me. It is not.)
Yes I have filters (wall type pattern (s) , and a view template, because that is what i need to create these plans and should be how I control the graphics for the views).
Please help.
Thank you-
mie
