Hi, i have a part of a family which shows itself on my plan when elevated from level at 1450mm, but not when at 1500mm. I need this part at 2106mm, how do i get it to show on the floor plan?

Add a plan region to bring the view range down at the family location. Or edit the family and draw a vertical model line so that the family being cut by a broader range of cut plane.

I would use the model line idea in the family as per one of @ToanDN suggestions.

For it to work the model line must be below your cut plane e.g. if your family is at 2100 ht and your cut plane is at 1450, the model line must be set at 650mm below the main reference plane of your family.

So the steps are as follows:

  1. open the family
  2. create a reference plane 650mm or whatever you need it to be below the main reference plan and name it something like "visibility plane".
  3. draw an invisible model line and make sure it ends up hosted on the "visibility plane".

When you reload the family it should now be visible at 2100ht.

Below is a screenshot of a family that would be above the cut plane but is still visible because there is a model line set to the floor level.

If you send me the family in question I can show you how it's done, that might be the easiest way if you have not done this before.
