Family editing - Flip Controls for elevation views

This is particularly cumbersome for face hosted families. Placing nested families on a surface perpendicular to the face host (flushometer on a wall hun toilet for example), where I can't use the flip orientation command when in that elevation view; even though the nested family would appear in plan.

Flip Controls - Elevation Disabled.JPG

I was able to get the nested family (flushometer) to show it's controls in elevation, but needed to flip the work plane in a different view  due to incorrect orientation.
Clip above shows the flip controls disabled for the family modeled on a face template. Selecting the nested family in the Umbrella family (toilet with grabs bars, clearances and accessories), but wouldn't allow me to toggle the position. I tried loading the family into a new plumbing fixture template and saved as a new family to add the controls, but was causing visibility toggling issues.

I don't understand what you are showing. Flip Controls are placed in the Family and then when the Family is placed in a Project View, the flippers will be seen and available when the Family selected.

Post your Family here. That would help.

Nesting Sequence:
- Flushometer loaded into "Toilet - Wall Mounted - Hosted"
-"Toilet - Wall Mounted - Hosted" Loaded into "Toilet_w Clearances and Accessories"

I can switch the orientation of the flushometer in the Base toilet family, but can't apply the flip controls to the toilet fixture family to be loaded into the Main Toilet family with all accessory and fixture options.
I applied the flip controls to the Main toilet family (with clearances and accessories), but the relationship of the flushometer to the approach is a code item. So flipping all items in the project won't correct the relationship.
Wanted to be able to flip the orientation of the toilet fixture (Since the fixture's symmetrical), but

Wow! Didn't know that cryptanalysis was involved.  Can I buy a key?  Seriously though, if you can't get there with flippers, what about toggling between 2 differently orientated flush handles?

Wanted to avoid the Visibility Boolean formula path, but if that's the best way to work with this. I'll go that route.

Thanks,
