been wondering about this for a long time. why are some families say that they are wall mounted but created in plan view? is it easier to create them in plan view than trying to work around the walls and thickness, etc.? I've created some wall mounted fixtures and it was a PITA.
when inserting the family into a project, it would be located in the wall. but since then, I figured it out with the ref plane so is very short when looking from the left or right. so i got that figured out.
