Facade door coverage issue

Hello,

My model contains two different wall types: a structural concrete core and a separate insulation/facade wall. These walls are joined throughout the project. I’ve added several doors that are hosted on the structural (concrete) walls, but I’m unable to visually extend the facade layer over the concrete around the door openings. The “Wrap” option doesn’t solve the issue, since the doors are hosted on the structural wall.

Is there a way to achieve the desired appearance without changing the wall composition into a single composite wall or re-hosting the doors on the insulation/facade wall?

Thank you

Hi,

If the wall is modeled as two separate elements, the Wrap option will not work. Wrapping only applies to layers within the same wall, not between different walls.

Since the doors are hosted in the structural wall, there is no automatic way in Revit to extend the facade layer around the openings. The only alternatives are modeling the wall as a single composite wall or adding extra elements to fake the wrapping.

Hope this helps!

Just model a short length of wall (finish only) and turn off the end joining.
