I'm pretty new to Revit, and am having trouble working out how to create a raised portion of a floor (for example, a stage) and would appreciated osme help. I'm using Revit2016.

it could be done in several ways:

  • make a new floor type over the existing one and join , align and lock them
  • make a cut into the exisiting floor - in Sketch Mode > Edit Boundary > daw in inside shape that will be a cut ito the floor. Replace the cuted floor area with another floor type with a bigger width
  • if the height is bigger and there is an empty space between , then use a floor for the stage and perimetral walls from main floor to stage floor attached to both of them
  • you can also, use a Component >Model in Place > Floor
