Building Pad and topography in section

Hello,

When the section is under Previous/New phase, why does the area under the building pad appear hatched solid black in section?  

How do i make it the same as the crosshatching in the other terrain areas while keeping the wall section hatched solid black to show it is an existing wall?

See if the Pad has a Material assigned to it. You can change it to Earth.

Also, see if the view is set to Coarse Detail Level.
