Exporting schedule to excel using DBLINK

Hi,

I'm trying to export schedule to excel using DBLINK but the tabs under MS Access 2007 and 2000-2003 are empty. Only ODBC able to selection connection.

Pls advise as I am using Microsoft Excel to edit scedule and then link back to Revit 2017.

If I remember correctly you need Excel 2010 64 bit as the minimum. That was with the last time I used dblink in Revit 2015.

By the way, you don't export just schedules via dblink, but the entire model data. If you only look for a two way export edit import schedules, I would look into Dynamo.

Thanks Toan for the info.

I definitely wont need to export entire project data, only one schedule but I am not familiar with Dynamo, dont know which boxes required to link to....sigh.

I'm using Microsoft Offcie 2016, but I cant select connection to export, not to talk about import.

Any solution?

Not sure what else to suggest.  I have Access 2010 64-bit and DB Link with the option of export to MS Access 2007 works in Revit 2015-2017.

I'm having the same problem, the MS Access tabs are empty. Do I need to set up a ODBC first? I'm running Revit 2017 and Access 2016.

@Viveka_CD Hi thanks for following up, my organization refuses to use office x64. and as of my understanding Revit 64 bit cannot talk to x86 Access.

Yes, looks like it.

If Access 2007 x86 is installed on x64 machine, the driver cannot be installed.

Hi, i may have missed it but i dont see a solution for the original question. So maybe this will help as i experienced this today. I have ticked all the boxes;

Access x64 (doesnt matter if you install from 0ffice 365 or access standalone.)

All i did was download and install the AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe (https://download.microsoft.com/download/2/4/3/24375141-E08D-4803-AB0E-10F2E3A07AAA/AccessDatabaseEng...)

And it gave me the the [Select a new connection] from the MS Access 2007] tab.
