Exporting linked CAD to dwg format. loses all layers

I am trying to establish a workflow between me(a revit user) and other colleagues who only work with CAD

In the model I have a linked CAD and it has different layers.

I need to export this view with the linked CAD back into CAD, and I tried two methods, both didn't work.

1. I tried linking or importing the CAD, it turns out that the "linked CAD" appears as a block which merges all layers into one.

2. I tried linking the CAD, checking the option "export views on sheets and links as external references" 

It turns out the Xrefs appear as grey frames like below. The Xref "grey frame" is also moved to a wrong coordinate.

Can someone help me with this? The CAD is better if it appears as Xref but block is also fine, as long as it keeps all the layers.

I'm a totally confused by this workflow.  Why do you "need to export this view with the linked CAD back into CAD" ?

the "linked CAD" consist of just a few design lines. 

I need to export the model or so to say "view" to a bigger CAD for internal CAD people.

And i think it's also worth bringing up, that Revit fails to export the linked CAD to a proper Xref.

What do you suggest? is there a better way? 

For a part of the coordination we need to do it with CAD. Some colleagues in our office cannot do Revit and there need a good CAD base to put in lighting...etc

For a larger part of the coordination we build everything in Revit.
