Export DWF export multiple markups

Hi,

I have exported multiple sheets (detailling) to DWFx for other parties to review.

I have received Markups in DWFx from both parties.

I have linked both markups into my sheets.

In revit I see 2 different markups in one sheet.

Now I want to export these sheets into one DWFx containing BOTH markups.

That doesn't work! Revit only exports one of the two markups on every sheet.

Since copy-paste from one DWFx to another doesn't work (paste to same place doesn't work) there should be some setting or workaround in Revit?

Thanks!

I think you need to export twice.  One with Markup A on, Markup B off.  The other is opposite.  Send each exported set to the one marked up the original DWF.

Thnks for your reply,

what do you mean by sending one markup to the other markup?

I can only export to DWFx and overwrite that other DWFx.

I know I can copy-paste markups from one file to another, but it doesn't paste to the same place.

And why Can't I export both of them? In the export-settings both markups are shown.

Go to Insert menu, DWF markup tab, and you can choose to turn one on and the other off.

I know how to unload a link.

But how do I create 1 DWFx from a sheet that contains 2 DWFx-markups?

If both of them are loaded, revit exports only 1.

I can export both of them seperately, but I need them to become 1 DWFx.

Not 1 DWFx containing 2 sheets both of the markups exported on one sheet in one DWFx.

Accepted solution
No. You already know you cannot export markups from 2 dwfx links on a sheet to 1 dwfx. That is why you need to export the sheet twice, each one with a different markup.

Why did you have two dwfx, two people marked them up? If it is the case, send each of the dwfx exported above to the person who marked the original to get it approved or whatever.

Thanks for your replies,

I know I can't, but I hoped there was a solution or workaround that I couldn't find.

I have 2 markups because 2 people mark-upped the sheets.

Now my projectleader wants to review both of the markups at the same time without opening both files.

He already made his peace with that solution and now I have to.... 😞

I will show him how to review them in revit.

regards,
