when I export plans to dwg, my column grid lines are set to continuous in the dwg file.  In the grid type properties, i have center and end segments set to center.

i know i am missing something here.

check export options. Make sure that center is exported automatically or as center.

Are you sure the lines are Continuous or they just appear continuous? If the latter the it could be a scale issue.

Check your LTSCALE in Model tab in AutoCAD. try a couple different numbers, depending on the line style you may net see results at lower scales. i usually start with 12, 48 & 96 etc....

Grid lines are export to linetype NOT by layer, but by object.

Are you exporting Sheets or Views?

Also...Grids are a compound element; a circle, text and a grid line. When you export there are three choices for how to create layers. You need to either use the second or third option. One exports the conflict element with element overrides (grid line patter) and the last one creates a new layer for each condition so everything is exported ByLayer. I nearly always use the last (Layers tab of export setup) Export Layer Option: Export all properties BYLAYER, and create new layers for overrides.
