ever scrolling drawing

i saved my drawing last night, opened it this morning and it immediately scrolled off the screen to the right and keeps on going.

if i try to draw a wall as soon as i click on start point it scrolls off to the right making the wall infinitely long.

what on earth happened overnight, the sun went down and came up again and revit has a mind of its own.

Could be many things. However I would look at your keyboard and mouse. Possibly something is stuck or driver for one of those are not working properly.

So try a different mouse and/or keyboard or see if there are updated drivers available.

Has any updated been installed in between the two periods? If so see if uninstall is possible or go back to an earlier (windows) restore point.

Also have a look at viruses and malware.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Not sure if it can be any of above as i have reverted to my Autocad MEP and everything works fine, also works fine with Autocad LT, but when i switch back to Revit off it goes again.

This also happened a few months ago and i went back to MEP, thought i would give it a go again and worked fine for a few days then cracked off again this morning.

I will probably just stick with MEP.

Okay, so there is something up with that particular file.

Do you have any linked files - DWG, DWF, RVT etc?

also if you type ZE (Zoom Extents) in a plan view do you just see your model or does it zoom out a long way?

I have just opened a new project added a few walls and its working fine, I then opened the existing project and it worked fine.

I closed all down and opened the original again on its own and it still works. (good its working but what happened)

???????? I may never know.

it's very difficult to track a problem to the source if it can't be recreated consistently.  Keep an eye on it and see if it happens again.  Do you leave your computer on with the file loaded overnight?

I did export it to a cad file, would that have caused an issue?

Who knows... like I say, if you can recreate it then there is a better chance of being able to track it down.  I've exported many DWG's and never had the issue you are seeing so it's probably unlikely to be the issue.
