Error opening Missing Dll in Revit 2020

Hello everyone, Greetings of the Day!

I am currently using the student version of Revit 2020, and also I have recently installed the Ecotect plugin to explore its use. I am getting an error message while opening the software, which states - "Revit.exe - System Error. The code execution cannot proceed because EcotectServices.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

I am not able to understand shall I reinstall the Revit or Ecotect.

I am attaching the screenshot for your reference.

I am keen to know is there any solution for this problem which includes either installing the required dll file which you can provide or is there any software which automatically detects the missing dll and reinstall it.

Thanks for your support in advance.

Uninstall the Ecotect addin in the Control Panel > Programs.

That addin is now discontinued so you won't be able to use it in Revit.

Try this instead: https://insight360.autodesk.com/oneenergy/Landing/Download

Before you do a full clean uninstall and reinstall, try this: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-reinstall-or-repa...

  1. Click Start menu > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall/Change.
  2. In the Uninstall or change a program, select the product name, then click Uninstall/Change.
The installation wizard reopens in Maintenance mode.
  1. Select Repair or Reinstall.
  2. On the Repair or Reinstall page, select one of the following options and click Repair or Reinstall to start the process.
  • Choose Reinstall. This option repairs the registry and reinstalls all files from the original installation. Use this option if the Repair option does not solve the problem.
  1. On the Repair/Reinstall Complete page, click Finish.

If that doesn't work then I'd recommend a clean uninstall / reinstall as per this - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles...
